Manvi Mathur

UX/ Product Designer

A Bit About Me

Hello!

I am a UI/ UX designer and researcher with a background in web development. Born and brought up in the city of pearls, Hyderabad in India. I enjoy challenging and encouraging myself to step outside of my comfort zone, and this led me to move across the globe and attend college in Illinois, USA. I am a curious learner, dreamer and achiever. I hope to use my keen eye for design to bring better holistic user experiences that are accessible, and also to create products that are not only effective but memorable, enjoyable and desirable.

Say hi and email me at manvimathur14@gmail.com if you want to learn more about my journey or want to work with me in the future!

Manvi began working in Web & Interactive Communications as a Graduate Designer on my design team in 2017. Manvi has consistently risen to the challenge of bridging the UX design needs of our office with that of front-end development. She helped on many aspects of redesigning our flagship site, IllinoisState.edu, that launched in early 2018; with her largest contribution being the research and prototyping, creating UX Research, creating wireframes, and prototyping.

Manvi has been an exceptional student in my courses, her work is exemplary. Manvi’s mix of technical skills and design acumen made her an essential part of the Route 66 project team. Manvi’s ability to problem-solve from both a technical and creative perspective and take individual initiative while also working well with others in an intense, collaborative environment makes her especially well-suited for a range of positions.

I’ve had numerous opportunities to interact with her as her academic advisor, she has never been anything but professional, organized, and focused on her academic and professional development. She has strong interpersonal communication and writing skills, and always clearly articulates the conceptual and technical aspects of her work.  Manvi represents a balance of technical skills, strong conceptual ideas, work ethic, teachability, communication skills, and collaborative nature.
